AN APPEAL FOR CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS BUILDING FUND
Dear Brother/Sister,
As you are aware Bangalore Warrier Samajam Celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2009. With a small beginning in 1983-84, today we can boast of having 400 plus Members and it is still counting.
Yet, the biggest achievement of our Samajam is having its own Building -WASA Plaza - located at WASA Layout in Doddanekundi, Marathahalli in Bangalore. Because of its strategic location-adjacent to outer ring road-it has got a high rental value. We have built the ground floor - about 1625Sq Ft - and it has been let out to Arya Vaidya Pharmacy Coimbatore.
Now, it is time to think about adding another two floors to the existing building. This matter has been the main agenda of all Executive Committee Meetings being held every month, for quite a long time. The process of Plan approval, Estimate and other Legal requirement has been almost complete. The Estimate has been put at Rs.4000000/-(Rs. Forty laths) approximately for two floors - one and two – comprising about 1600 Sq Ft each. The cost being an enormous one, the Committee has decided to approach our Samajam Members to meet the Cost of building it. Thus, the Executive Committee of Bangalore Warrier Samajam hereby appeal to all the Members to contribute towards this effort. The Committee has discussed in detail about the mode of contribution and has finally come out with the following decision.
1. Each member to contribute a minimum of Rs.5000/- (Five Thousand) and in multiples of Rs.1000/-(Rs One thousand).
2. The Contribution will be in the form of Loan and the interest will be paid at a reasonable rate calculated at pro rata basis for the actual completed period ending March 31ST each year.
3. A receipt will be issued to members for their investment.
4. Lock in period for this investment will be two years.
Efforts are also on to find other sources for financing this Project. The committee has approached M/s Arya Vaidya Pharmacy Coimbatore with this appeal and we are awaiting their reply.
In the mean time, we appeal to all Members to be a part of this mega project and contribute towards this effort with maximum investment as possible.
Another important decision that has come through is formation of a Welfare Fund. This is the outcome of suggestions and demands made by various members, and the Executive committee has decided to form a Welfare Fund. This Fund is exclusively for the welfare of Samajam Members and their Family. The Executive Committee is deliberating on the formalities, rules and regulations for smooth functioning of the Fund. As and when the finalization takes place, the same will be intimated to all the Members. The Committee is also trying to get the facility of Income Tax exemption for the contributions made towards this Welfare Fund.
